The online event is free of charge; click here to register. With the registration you will receive the access data, which are valid for all talks of our bi-weekly series. The talk will be held in English.

As part of the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI), the NFDI4Chem consortium has the vision that all chemists publish FAIR data. To get there, the consortium support scientists in their efforts to collect, store, process, analyse, publish and re-use research data in chemistry. In our talk, we introduce you to the Task Area "Repositories" and the various trusted and chemistry-friendly NFDI4Chem core repositories. Here we focus in particular on RADAR4Chem.

RADAR4Chem is a low-threshold and easy-to use service for sustainable publication and preservation of research data from all disciplines of chemistry. It bases on the well-established data repository RADAR run by FIZ Karlsruhe - Leibniz Institute for Information Infrastructure and offers free publication for any data type and format according to the FAIR principles, independent of the researcher´s institutional affiliation. Through persistent identifiers (DOI) and a guaranteed retention period of at least 25 years, the research data remain available, citable and findable long-term. RADAR4Chem complements the existing portfolio of specialist repositories in chemistry and offers a wide range of application scenarios, e.g. for the publication of datasets with different data types or multidisciplinary datasets.

The talk will be complemented with an online demonstration.

Speaker: Kerstin Soltau & Christian Bonatto Minella (FIZ Karlsruhe - Leibniz Institute for Information Infrastructure)

Chair: Dr. Ortrun Brand, HeFDI Coordination Team
