Registration for the Advanced Track of our HeFDI Code School 2025 still open!

The next round of the Advanced Track of the HeFDI Code School starts soon! Together with HKHLR we offer a three day hands-on workshop both on site and online related to software engineering from the 20th to 22nd of October 2025.

The HKHLR/HeFDI Code School deals with practical aspects of software engineering and design in order to make scientific software more extensible, maintainable, and testable. In practical exercises, participants learn interactively how to use software development techniques, solve common practical problems, and improve the quality and reproducibility of their software. The principles we discuss can be applied to various types of codes such as software for numerical simulation as well as scripts for data processing.

The workshop is designed for any users and authors of research software. No knowledge of high performance computing is necessary. Participants need a working knowledge of writing and reading Python code.
