05.12.2025 Structural basis of organellar and viral RNA biogenesis

In our Speaker Series, Prof. Hauke Hillen provided an overview of his research and highlighted recent advances.

On 2 December, we welcomed Hauke Hillen to RTG 2937, who is professor of protein biochemistry at the University Medical Center Göttingen and Independent Research Group Leader at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry. Research in his group "Structure and Function of Molecular Machines" uses a combination of structural biology and biochemical as well as cellular methods to study organellar and viral gene expression, with a particular focus on RNA biogenesis and maturation.
