08.09.2026 Daniel Kotlarz receives "Rise Up!" award of the Boehringer Ingelheim Foundation

🎉 Congratulations to Prof. Dr. Daniel Kotlarz and the whole Kotlarz Lab!

Daniel Kotlarz, Heisenberg Professor for Precision Medicine of Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Diseases at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and Group Leader at the Institute of Translational Genomics at Helmholtz Munich has been awarded the “Rise up!” award of the Boehringer Ingelheim Foundation.

The “Rise up!” program supports outstanding scientists in establishing their independent research profiles during the early stage of their W2 professorships. The program specifically targets highly innovative and scientifically high-risk research projects that require additional freedom and resources beyond the regular funding available to a professorship.
