The TRR81 comprises 31 PIs, 18 of which are German and 13 of which are Dutch. They are named in the project area folders according to their thematic assignment.

Principal investigators of the TRR81.

Projects of the TRR 81 investigate the role of chromatin in the context of cellular differentiation and malignancies at the Philipps-University of Marburg, the Justus-Liebig-University of Giessen, the Erasmus Medical Centre in Rotterdam, the Max Planck Institute for Heart and Lung Research in Bad Nauheim, the Medical Faculty Mannheim of the Ruprecht-Karls-University Heidelberg, and the Georg-August-University Göttingen.

The SFB TRR 81 is funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). Projects in Rotterdam are supported by Absea Biotechnology (Beijing), Erasmus MC Rotterdam (Rotterdam), Harbour Antibodies BV (Rotterdam and Boston), Stichting Swart-van Essen (Rotterdam), Vereniging Trustfonds Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam (Rotterdam).
