ECAR aims at training economists who will be able to analyse current
economic conditions in the Arab Region and to employ their education to
contribute to potential solution concepts. Particularly in view of the
recent political changes a considerable demand for such experts has
been newly created on the labour market.
The intakes 2009 and 2010 are carried out in cooperation with Damascus
University. The intakes 2011 and 2012 are carried out by
Philipps-Universität Marburg with parts of the curriculum taking place
in countries of the Arab region.
