The Faculty of Biology has strong and highly interdisciplinary research programmes in a broad spectrum of biological fields. Cooperations are maintained with other faculties at the University of Marburg as well as groups at the national and international level. The Faculty contains 10 departments
which are organized into four research fields:
• Ecology, Nature Conservation, Biodiversity
• Molecular Cell Biology and Plant Physiology
• Animal Development and Physiology
• Microbiology and Genetics
