The bachelor program Biomedical Science is offered by the school of medicine and trains students for scientific and practical work in the field of biomedical research. During the first semesters necessary basics are taught in scientific courses (Mathematics, physics, chemistry and biochemistry) as well as in subject specific courses (anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, molecular biology etc.). Later on more medically relevant courses are covered by the curriculum (e.g. neurology, pathology, molecular imaging).
In the course of studies students decide on one of the four majors: infection biology, neurobiology, tumor biology or cell biology.
