You want to apply for Biomedical Science in Marburg? 

Explanation of the application process  

The bachelorprogram Biomedical Science always starts in the winter semester. It is only possible to apply for the summer semester for advanced semesters. You can find further information under lateral entry.

All Information regarding the application can be found in the application portal. Questions regarding the application process can be answered by the staff of the administration office. 

Lateral Entry

There is a possibility to switch to the Biomedical Science program from a different scientific program. 

Placement in a higher semester is only possible if previously completed coursework can be recognized as equivalent to the modules of the first semester of Biomedical Science and if there are available places in the respective semester. The decision on admission is made by the Examination Board.

The current study schedule shows the distribution of modules across the semesters. Using the module handbook, you can check in advance to what extent your completed courses match to those in Biomedical Science.

Applications for admission must always be submitted through the Examination Office (contact: Daniel Becker).
In order for us to assess your academic record, we require:

• an official transcript of records listing all successfully completed courses
• detailed course descriptions (e.g., module descriptions, lab manuals, etc.) from your current study program.

Please note: the recognition of academic achievements can only take place after admission has been granted.
