The twentieth edition of the legendary Symmetries in Science Symposium series concluded on August 8, 2025, in Bregenz, Vorarlberg Austria. International participants from Mexico, the United States of America, Spain, United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, Finland and Taiwan met at the Lake Constance close to the Seebühne in Bregenz to discuss latest advancements in the field of symmetries in various areas of science. General topics discussed ranged from operators and quantum mechanics over group theory, algebras and differential geometry to particle physics and fundamental symmetries and their violations. Contributions to areas including gravitational physics and extended space-times, neutrino physics, pion physics, Bohmian mechanics, nonlinear quantum mechanics, nonabelian anyons, quantum computing, quantum information, molecular chirality and violation of fundamental symmetries were presented on this symposium that was organised this year by Robert Berger from the Philipps-Universität Marburg and Dieter Schuch from the Goethe-Universität Frankfurt.

The Symmetries in Science Symposium series SiS was established in 1979 by Bruno Gruber at the Southern University of Illinois. Participants of the first meeting included P.A.M. Dirac, E.P. Wigner, E.C.G. Surdashan, A.O. Barut, M. Moshinsky, H.-D. Doebner and F. Iachello to name but a few. Since 1988 the symposium takes place in Vorarlberg, Austria, from 2009 until 2019 with Dieter Schuch and Michael Ramek serving as main organisers. The nineteenth version, postponed to 2023 due to the pandemic was for the first time organised by three organisers, which included besides Robert Berger and Dieter Schuch also Octavio Castanos from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico.
