Ab dem 19.10.2026 funktioniert das WLAN (Eduroam und UMRnet_staff) an der Uni Marburg nicht mehr mit der bisherigen Konfiguration, weil sich das dahinter liegende Zertifikat ändert. Egal ob Laptop, PC oder Smartphone: Auf allen Endgeräten mit allen gängigen Betriebssystemen muss die App „geteduroam“ einmal ausgeführt und das Profil (Staff oder Students) neu verbunden werden, um die neue Konfiguration auf das Gerät zu laden. Bitte nutzen Sie unbedingt den Übergangszeitraum und nehmen Sie die Umstellung jetzt schon selbstständig vor. Alle mit OPSI zentral gemanagten Geräte erhalten die neuen Einstellungen automatisch.

Eine Erneuerung des bestehenden Zertifikats unter dem Wurzelzertifikat T-Telesec GlobalRoot Class2  ist aufgrund regulatorischer Vorgaben nicht mehr möglich. Für die neue Konfiguration wird ein Zertifikat des Anbieters HARICA genutzt.

Das für die einfache Umstellung notwendige App "geteduroam" ist in den App-Stores für Android und Apple oder direkt auf den Entwicklerseiten verfügbar. Alle WLAN-Anleitungen des HRZ beschreiben bereits die neuen Konfigurationen.

Starting October 19, 2026, the Wi-Fi (Eduroam and UMRnet_staff) at the University of Marburg will no longer work with the current configuration because the certificate is changing. Whether you’re using a laptop, PC, or smartphone: On all devices running any common operating system, you must run the “geteduroam” app once and reconnect your profile (students or staff) to download the new configuration to your device. Please be sure to take advantage of the transition period and make the change yourself now.
All devices centrally managed via OPSI will receive the new settings automatically.

Due to regulatory requirements, it is no longer possible to renew the existing certificate under the T-Telesec GlobalRoot Class2 root certificate. A certificate from the provider HARICA is used for the new configuration. The “geteduroam” app, which is required for a smooth transition, is available in the Android and Apple app stores or directly on the developer’s website.
