Digital information event on ProAcademia from Mentoring Hessen

Mentoring Hessen supports and accompanies female STEM students and scientists of all disciplines throughout Hessen. In this online information event, you can find out more about the ProAcademia mentoring programme.

Mentoring Hessen is the joint project of the Hessian universities and universities of applied sciences for women* on their career paths in academia and business. The offer consists of mentoring, training and networking and is aimed at women* in the transition phases from studies to a professorship or a specialist or leadership position in academia or business. In addition to the mentoring programmes, workshops and networking events are offered to support personal development and career decision-making considering diverse options.

Applications are currently open for all four mentoring programmes:

ProCareer.MINT is aimed at female students of STEM subjects in the career orientation and decision-making phase.
ProCareer.Doc supports female doctoral students and early postdocs from all disciplines in the phase of further career orientation.
ProAcademia is aimed at early female postdocs and advanced female doctoral candidates from all disciplines who wish to pursue a career in science. The ProAcademia training programme is conducted in German and English. For more information, click here.
ProProfessur is the mentoring programme for female postdoctoral researchers from all disciplines (including medicine) on the direct path to a professorship at a university or university of applied sciences.

The application deadline for ProCareer.MINT, ProCareer.Doc and ProAcademia is December 1st, for ProProfessur December 15th.

Language requirements: The mentoring programmes ProCareer.MINT, ProCareer.Doc, and ProProfessur require German language skills at least at B1 level. Proof of language proficiency is not required at the time of application but must be provided at the latest at the start of the programme. ProAcademia is offered in both German and English.

The costs of participating in the programme will be covered by Philipps University.
