"Urban Planning and Urban Resilience"
Urban planning is the central component of global ambitions to build resilient cities in the context of development, disaster risk reduction, and climate change adaptation. However, recent evidence indicates that existing planning paradigms are insufficient to deliver appropriate pathways toward a more resilient future. This panel will address this gap and stress the need for incorporating resilience thinking in existing planning systems.
