A joint research by Mohammad Reza Farzanegan (CNMS) and Marcel Thum (TU Dresden) is now published in Empirical Economics. The study is entitled “Does oil rents dependency reduce the quality of education?”.  The authors contribute to the resource curse literature by providing empirical evidence on a new transmission channel of the curse, namely the negative long-run effect of oil rents on the quality of education.
