Musizierhaus in the Old Botanical Garden

Would you like to practice music without being disturbed but don’t have your own practice room? The Musizierhaus in the Old Botanical Garden offers around 12 practice rooms for students in Marburg. One room is equipped with a grand piano, two others with upright pianos. There is also a quiet room (Room 15).

Use

Access to the building is controlled by a door code valid for one semester. Interested students can obtain the code in person at the secretary’s office of the Institute of Musicology.

To use the pianos and the grand piano, a one-time fee of €20 per semester is required, payable in cash when registering. In return, 2 hours of practice time per week can be reserved in the booking schedule, either as one block or split into separate times. These reserved times apply for the entire semester.

The other rooms can be used free of charge and without fixed time bookings.
