Are You a Researcher or Staff Mobility Seeker?

Staff mobility brings many advantages, such as expanding your professional network, gaining valuable experience and broadening your foreign language skills.

You have the option of a Teaching staff mobility or Staff Mobility for Training.
Teaching Staff mobility includes Teaching assignments that can come in various forms: seminars, lectures, workshops, and tutorials. All staff has to perform 8 hours of teaching per week, including cooperative preparation and organisation of sessions as well as individual teaching sessions. Actual teaching in this context requires the teacher to be physically present with the students.
Staff mobility for Training supports the professional development primarily of non-academic staff in the form of training events abroad, e.g. job shadowing/observation periods at a department or Staff Training Weeks.

Below you will find information about the selection criteria and the documents to be submitted. For more information, please visit the International Office website.

  • Selection criteria

The selection criteria for participants are defined by the sending higher education institution, in agreement with the receiving institution. The first criterion should be academic merit, but with equivalent academic level, preference should be assigned to students from less advantaged socio-economic backgrounds. The selection of participants, as well as the procedure for awarding them a grant, must be fair, transparent and documented.
Participants will receive further information for a good and successful start in Marburg after they have been nominated at Philipps-Universität Marburg. (Please bear in mind that a nomination by the home university doesn't mean a successful application with a mobility grant. Applicants must be accepted by the particular faculty at Philipps-Universität Marburg as well.)

  • Required documents

    - Motivation letter and invitation

    - CV + list of publications
