07.10.2025 Funding for TRPL setup
Thanks to the DFG funding program for 'Major Research Instrumentation' supplemented by the funding from the European Regional Development Fund (Engl for: Europäischen Fonds für regionale Entwicklung (EFRE) via the WIBank, our workgroup is able to operate a TRPL measurement setup since the end of 2024. The setup uses time-resolved photoluminescence spectroscopy (TRPL) to provide a method for the non-destructive investigation of recombination dynamics.

Time-resolved photoluminescence spectroscopy is an established robust and informative method for the non-destructive investigation of the dynamics of optical excitations in the field of semiconductor optics. The measurement technique uses the optical excitation of semiconductors by a short-pulse laser source and additionally the recording of the time sequence of the luminescence signal - in this case by means of a streak camera.
