Anke Becker recognized with Federation of European Biochemical Societies (FEBS) National Lecture award

Prof. Dr. Anke Becker received FEBS National Lecture award and presented the award lecture on bacterial platform organisms (chassis) in synthetic biology with synthetic modular genome architectures at the 15th Meeting of the Slovenian Biochemical Society. The development of strategies and tools for modularizing bacterial genomes to facilitate or enable the tailoring of genomic information for the integration of synthetic pathways is one of the research focuses of Becker's team. The “National Lectures” of the Federation of European Biochemical Societies (FEBS) honor the achievements of outstanding scientists with an international reputation in the field of biochemistry and molecular biology.

Prof. Dr. Anke Becker erhielt den FEBS National Lecture Award und hielt den Preisvortrag über bakterielle Plattformorganismen (Chassis) in der Synthetischen Biologie mit synthetischen modularen Genomarchitekturen auf der Jahrestagung der Slowenische Gesellschaft für Biochemie. Die Entwicklung von Strategien und Werkzeugen zur Modularisierung bakterieller Genome, um das Maßschneidern der genomischen Information zur Integration synthetischer Stoffwechselwege zu erleichtern oder erst zu ermöglichen ist einer der Forschungsschwerpunkte von Becker’s Team. Die "National Lectures" der Federation of European Biochemical Societies (FEBS) würdigen die Leistungen herausragender Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler mit internationalem Renommee auf dem Gebiet der Biochemie
