Lab books are part of everyday research: this is where measurement results, sketches of experimental set-ups, observations or evaluations end up. But what happens when these data are increasingly digital? Should they be printed out and pasted in - or is there a better solution? This is where electronic laboratory notebooks (ELNs) come in. And they also offer completely new possibilities. There is a wide range of possible solutions with different approaches and functionalities.
