Central User Account for Student Groups
A central user account can be created for student groups upon request, allowing for the shared use of centrally provided IT services.
Generally, the following permissions are granted:
- Email mailbox (function-bound, not person-bound; Wunschadresse@students.uni-marburg.de)
- Windows PCs in PC rooms, lecture halls, seminar rooms (domain @students)
- WIFI (eduroam)
Further services will only be activated on request.
Target group
Students
Requirements
Your student group can be reached via a postal address at Philipps-Universität Marburg (e.g. c/o via a secretariat at the department) and can be assigned to one of the following categories:
- General Student* Committee (AStA)
- political university groups
- student councils
- student institutions and initiatives
Request procedure
Starting from your personal student email address, please submit an informal request to myaccount@hrz.uni-marburg.de with the following information:
- Briefly explain the student group for which the account is needed.
- You are welcome to provide a preferred email address of the form AddressOfChoice@students.uni-marburg.de.
- Please also include a mailing address at Philipps Universität Marburg where your group can be reached (e.g., c/o through a departmental secretary).
The University Computer Center will review your request, then create a feature-based Student Account and send the login information via interoffice mail to the mailing address listed.
An extension is possible each semester upon your informal request.
