Start looking for housing as early as possible. It can be particularly difficult to find affordable housing in university towns and larger cities in general. We will be happy to support you in finding suitable accommodation that meets your needs, whether through university facilities or on the private market. While we cannot guarantee bookings for everyone, please get in touch with us as early as possible regarding this matter.

  • Long-term stay

    Marburg University operates a Guesthouse with (family) apartments for researchers arriving directly from abroad. The guest house is located at Hansenhäuser Weg 11 in Marburg. The apartments are furnished, and some have Wi-Fi. Reservations are made by the hosting institute or the Welcome Center so don't hesitate to contact us in this regard.

    The  Studierendenwerk offers housing to doctoral students who are officially enrolled at the University of Marburg. If you would like a spot in the student residence, we recommend submitting an online application as early as possible.

  • Short stay

    This small guesthouse is located in the heart of the university town of Marburg, in the old botanical garden and near the central university library.
