Online Intercultural Awareness Training before Start of Studies!
For all new international students (degree seekers)
The time has come! Soon your studies in Germany will begin!
For a successful start at the university and in Marburg, you can participate in our interactive free online workshop, "Fit for Germany! An intercultural awareness training" in German or in English before the start of your studies. In this workshop, you will learn practical approaches and methods of intercultural communication and improve your intercultural competence. What does this mean exactly? Which role do "culture", "identity" and "culture shock" play in this? Take part in the workshop and find out! Meanwhile you can already make first contacts with other new international students.
Target group and language
- All new international students from all over the world who are about to start their studies with the intention to graduate in Marburg (degree seekers).
- Bachelor, Master, Staatsexamen, Lehramt
- Online - Workshop in English

In this workshop
- You will learn about the exciting world of intercultural communication
- You will learn how to deal with unfamiliar situations and intercultural misunderstandings
- You can make first new contacts
Dates and registration
- Always end of September and end of March
- DATES: Monday, September 28th 1PM to 5 PM or Wednesday, September 30th 1PM to 5 PM, both trainings conducted in English
- REGISTRATION: by e-mail with indication of date preference (Monday or Wednesday) at: marmento@uni-marburg.de
- Even if you are not yet in Germany, you are welcome to participate.
