Subproject C05
Political Security and Economized Infrastructures

2. Funding period (2018-2021)

The security of so-called critical infrastructures - such as energy, transportation and communications networks - is at the forefront of security efforts in many contemporary societies. At the same time, these infrastructures operate partly according to an economic logic: private companies operate, maintain, own and secure them. This subproject examines the formation of security priorities and practices in the interplay between the political and economic logics that constitute infrastructures. The case studies are dedicated to the security of data infrastructures as well as urban and financial market infrastructures.
