Our research focuses on ligand-receptor systems, which control epithelial cell communication in development, homeostasis, regeneration and cancer. A particular emphasis lies on semaphorins, a family of axon guidance cues, and their receptors, plexins. In a translational approach, we aim to identify new drug targets leading to the development of novel drugs.
