Institute of Pharmacology

The Institute of Pharmacology pursues both basic science as well as translational research. Basic science projects focus on molecular mechanisms, that control physiological and pathophysiological processes in epithelial tissues during homeostatic conditions as well as during regeneration and in cancer. More medically oriented scientific projects aim to elucidate mechanisms underlying pathophysiological processes and drug action, and to identify novel drug targets.

In teaching, the Institute offers a comprehensive range of courses and seminars in human medicine, dentistry and human biology.
