07.04.2026 Call for Applications for a Travel Grant to the Annual Conference of the German Association for American Studies 2026

I am happy to announce five travel grants for students interested in participating in the annual conference of the German Association for American Studies. This conference will take place at Münster University and is entitled “Kinship in American Studies”. It will take place from May 28 to 30, 2026. The travel grant will consist of 250 € per person and is meant to contribute to travel and accommodation costs as well as registration fees. Once the grant holders are nominated, they are urged to register immediately since Early Bird Registration ends on April 15 (which I will try to get extended for the Marburg students). Moreover, you will also have to make your own reservations for accommodation. But you are free to make your reservations at any other location of your choice. 

You will have the unique chance of engaging with scholars of all ranks in an important topic of American Studies. Selections will be made based on very good academic performance and genuine and proven interest (classes taken) in American Studies. You have to be enrolled in one of the study programs in our department (Institute of English and American Studies; Teaching Degree English, BA North American Studies, BA American, British, and Canadian Studies, MA North American Studies, BA Language, Discourse and Power).
