A: Unfortunately, the university doesn't reimburse application fees.
Q: Are the courses I attended and the credits I earned sufficient to be eligible for the MSc in Molecular Biotechnology?
A: Eligibility based on courses taken is evaluated through applications submitted to Uni-Assist. Please understand that we're currently unable to respond to eligibility inquiries directly submitted to the university or the Department of Biology.
Q: What is the application period for the MSc in Molecular Biotechnology program?
A: Unless stated otherwise, the application window opens on April 1st and closes on July 15th. We only accept applications for the winter semester and do not admit students for the summer semester.

Q: What criteria are considered in the selection process for enrollment in the MSc Molecular Biotechnology program?
A: Our selection procedure, overseen by faculty members, involves two steps. Firstly, we review your application based on:
Academic coursework: We require a minimum of 30 ECTS credits in biological or biotechnological courses, along with an additional 12 ECTS credits in mathematics and the physical sciences.
Academic performance, additional biology/biotechnology relevant ECTS credits, and your letter of motivation are also considered.
Only if you pass the initial review, you will proceed to the second round, which includes an interview with our faculty.

Q: If my bachelor's degree didn't include any modules on mathematics or physics, am I still eligible to apply for the MSc. Molecular Biotechnology?
A: No, only students with bachelor's degrees that included a minimum of 12 ECTS equivalents in mathematics and/or physics are eligible to apply for the program. High school courses in physics and mathematics cannot be accepted as equivalent.
