Quick & Smart: Infosnacks on Research Data and Code during Love Data Week 2026

Your research data and code are key for your success - and deserve to be managed in the best possible way! To support you with this endeavour, at "Love Data Week 2026", we will be offering Infosnacks during the lunch break. In these short 30 minute online information sessions we provide you with information about offers and services around research data and code management for you as researcher of Marburg University. Of course, we will be happy to take your questions. Our Infosnacks are for free and fully virtual.

Love Data Week is an international celebration of research data, taking place every year during the week of Valentine's day.

Monday, 9th February 12:00-12:30 Managing Data and Code with support from eResearch Servicecenter - an Introduction (Dr. Ortrun Brand)
Abstract: Everyone in reserach has to take care of data and code related to research. Also, third party funding requires an elaborate concept for research data management - not only to meet the requirements of good scientific practice, but also to ensure that data and code is as open to the public as possible. To support your data and code management, UMR has established the eResearch Service Center, a collaoration on the research data management office, the University Library and the University Computing Center. In this introductory Infosnack, we outline what data and code management entails and how the eResearch Service Center makes your life easier in this regard, for example with data management plans and our consulting service.
