01.12.2025 Neu: 2-Faktor-Authentifizierung für Marvin- und ILIAS-Login // New: Two-factor authentication for Marvin and ILIAS login

Ab 15.12.2025 müssen alle Personen mit persönlichem Staff-Account den zweiten Faktor (2FA) nach dem Passwort eingeben. // Starting December 15, 2025, all users with a personal staff account must enter the second factor (2FA) after their password.

Als Mitarbeitende/r kennen Sie bereits den YubiKey als zweiten Faktor (Hardware Token). Sie benötigen ihn für Ihren VPN-Zugang und für die Zeiterfassung. Ab dem 15. Dezember 2025 ist der YubiKey auch für die Anmeldung in Marvin und ILIAS notwendig. Der YubiKey ist Ihr digitaler Schlüssel für diese und weitere IT-Systeme der Uni Marburg. Alternativ können Sie einen App-Token verwenden – auch die Uni Marburg-App bietet diesen Service an. 

Für Studierende ändert sich zum 15. Dezember 2025 noch nichts. Die Umstellung wird 2026 erfolgen, wir versenden hierzu dann eine gesonderte Information.

Wenn Sie als Lehrende/r oder Studentische Hilfskraft bisher mit TAN-Tokens (TAN-Listen) arbeiten, können Sie das bis auf Weiteres noch tun. Dieses Verfahren wird 2026 umgestellt. Wir empfehlen aber bereits jetzt, auf YubiKey oder App-Token umzusteigen. Am besten geeignet ist die Verwendung des App-Token im 2FA-Modul in der Uni Marburg-App. Einmalig eingerichtet, haben Sie den zweiten Faktor immer griffbereit und sind gerüstet, sowohl um sich mit dem zweiten Faktor in die genannten IT-Systeme einzuwählen als auch für die 2026 anstehende Abschaffung des TAN-Verfahrens.

As an employee, you are already familiar with the YubiKey as a second factor (hardware token). You need it for your VPN access and for time recording. From December 15, 2025, the YubiKey will also be required to log in to Marvin and ILIAS. The YubiKey is your digital key for these and other IT systems at the University of Marburg. Alternatively, you can use an app token – the "Uni Marburg-App" also offers this service. 

Nothing will change for students as of December 15, 2025. The changeover will take place in 2026, and we will send out separate information about this at that time.

If you are a teacher or student assistant and have been working with TAN tokens (TAN lists) up to now, you can continue to do so until further notice. This procedure will be changed in 2026. However, we recommend switching to YubiKey or app tokens now. The most suitable option is to use the app token in the 2FA module in the "Uni Marburg-App". Once set up, you will always have the second factor at your fingertips and will be prepared to log into the mentioned IT systems with the second factor as well as for the upcoming discontinuation of the TAN procedure in 2026.

Functional accounts that still exist are excluded from the 2FA changeover. You can continue to log in with just your username and password.
