A new study by Mohammad Reza Farzanegan (joint with Mehdi Feizi (Iran) and Hassan F. Gholipour (Australia)) on "Drought and Property Prices: Empirical Evidence from Provinces of Iran" is just published in the journal of Economics of Disasters and Climate Change. In this study, the authors examine the effect of variability of drought conditions on housing & land prices, using panel data covering the 2006–2015 period for 31 provinces of Iran.

They find strong evidence on the importance of drought severity as a factor, which substantially reduces the value of properties. This finding is robust while controlling for other determinants of property prices.
