Winter School “International Corporate Governance”

Every year in early January, the ifG Marburg offers a winter school on “International Corporate Governance” for students from the College of Business Administration at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. For the course, 15–20 students from Marquette University’s BSc programs come to Marburg for nine days to learn more about the German and European economic systems and their specific structures through classroom instruction and various company visits. Furthermore, by integrating visiting students into everyday university life, they have the opportunity to gain early experiences in the host country beyond their coursework.

At present, the ifG Marburg is negotiating with other partner universities abroad - in what is, to say the least, a challenging international political climate - to expand the existing program to include areas such as “sustainability.”
