Doctoral Program

After successfully passing a master’s program, it is possible to apply for acceptance as a doctoral student. A decision on acceptance will be made by the doctoral committee on the basis of an exhaustive meeting with the candidate, specifying that any missing requirements be met before starting the doctoral degree award process. The following documents must be submitted to be invited before the doctoral committee:

  • A diploma or school-leaving/graduation certificate
  • Proof of knowledge of languages (Latin, Greek, Hebrew)
  • Proof of membership in a Protestant church or a church belonging to the World Council of Churches (WCC)
  • Supervision agreement with a professor
  • Detailed doctoral dissertation project proposal and timeline essay
