On 18.07.2018 the  "Förderverein der Fachschaft Mathematik und Informatik an der Philipps-Universität Marburg e.V." was founded. This name is a bit long and ponderous so we just call ourselves the MInfo e.V.
On this page you will find an overview of the structure and work of our association.

On November 4th, 2022 a new board was elected.

07/18/2018: Foundation of the association
08/30/2018: Determination of non-profit status
11/06/2018: First ordinary general meeting with adoption of the current version of the statutes
02/26/2019: Entry in the register of associations. Since then, the addition "e.V."

The most important purpose of the MInfo e.V. is the ideal and financial support of the student council. We support the student council with advice and action and can reimburse private financial expenses, for example in the context of the freshman week, quickly and easily. This allows the student council to better focus on other aspects of the organization.
We also support the department in financing the annual graduation ceremony.

On July 1, 2022, the student council organized a department-wide summer party. We supported them to a large extent in the organization and implementation.

Finally, alumni in particular have the opportunity to stay in contact with the department and the student council via the association.

As a non-profit association, we rely on donations and membership fees. You can become a member of the association for as little as twelve euros per year (one "symbolic euro" per month) by signing up to join. Anyone who is part of the department becomes a "full member" and has direct co-determination rights at the general meetings. External persons have the option of supporting membership.

On the declaration of membership you will also find the details of the account to which donations can also be made directly. We can also issue donation receipts on request.

The easiest way to get in touch with us is to speak directly to the Board in person. Alternatively, we can be reached by email at minfo@mathematik*.
