I am a biologist, fascinated about how tree communities recover after human disturbances. I spent the last years working in the tropical forests of Ecuador, learning about the successional process and the factors that influence it.

In my thesis, I study the tree seedling recruitment and the dynamics of seedling-herbivore networks in a tropical forest ecosystem that has been altered by human activities. My research belongs to the REASSEMBLY project.

My study focuses on tree-seedling species diversity and seedling trait diversity turnover, as well as the variation in the interaction of seedling-herbivores along a chronosequence of 40 years.
