Institute for Medical Biometry and Statistics (IMBS)
The Institute for Medical Biometry and Statistics at the Philipps-University Marburg is focusing on three specific aims:
- Statistical and methodological research on state-of-the-art tools for data analysis, e.g. statistical learning algorithms
- Biometrical support and consulting for clinical trials, experiments and all other biomedical research
- Teaching in Biostatistics, Biometry & Epidemiology, Statistical Programming and Data Analysis
For statistical consulting and new projects, please do not hesitate to contact Petra Fischer via imbs@uni-marburg.de if you are interested in a cooperation. We are always open to new areas of application.
We also offer various topics for Bachelor or Master theses with a focus on statistical methodology. Please get in touch with us if you are interested.
New projects:
- DFG Project Boosting polygenic risk scores via distributional regression to uncover potential gene-environment interactions together with Dr. Carlo Maj, Philipps-Universität Marburg.
