Elective Course "Introduction to the Statistical Analysis of Medical Data with R"

The elective course "Introduction to the Statistical Analysis of Medical Data with R" is primarily aimed at students of human medicine before or during their doctorate study.

During the course, you will learn how to:

  • manage and manipulate data sets with tools such as dplyr
  • summarize and describe data using descriptive statistics
  • create clear and compelling visualizations with ggplot2
  • apply these skills using data examples

For participants who wish to take the course as an elective subject, the exam format will be a graded homework.

For specific statistical advice on your doctoral thesis topic, it is recommended to attend the seminar “Data Analysis and Statistical Methods in Doctoral Studies”, also offered by us.
