We are now recruiting a doctoral student to study functions of SRF-signaling of epithelial homeostasis and pathogenesis

The Serum Response Factor (SRF) is a highly conserved transcription factor which regulates gene expression in a wide range of processes. We investigate SRF-signaling in epithelial homeostasis and tumor formation using the Drosophila follicle epithelium and our recently described tumor model (https://doi.org/10.1101/2025.02.28.640798). Projects may take advantage of single-cell transcriptomics, proteomics, 3D and 4D fluorescence microscopy, Cas9-mediated gene knockout and other genetic tools. Experience with these techniques are a plus but not required. If you hold a MSc Degree or equivalent in Biology, Molecular Medicine or a comparable field, please apply under the following link by 29.06.2025:
