Tumorigenesis

Deregulated tissue growth can easily result in the development of a tumor. We study the effects of oncogenic activation of Hh and EGFR-RAS signaling using the Drosophila follicle epithelium. By applying single-cell transcriptomics we recently isolated the effects of each activation and described how co-activation initiates follicle cell tumors.
