Orientate yourself efficiently in your degree program, your department and your new university. Learn more about the structure and terms of your degree course and the learning methods required to successfully complete your studies.
Your tutor is an international student of a higher semester. He will share with you his experiences and tips and tricks that have helped him through his studies. In a relaxed atmosphere, you can ask questions and address problems from peer to peer and have the opportunity to practice some forms of study performance without pressure to perform or assessment.
Contents of the tutorial:
- Understand your subject and its special terms and structure
- Find your way through the different online portals and platforms of Marburg University
- Python: Practical experience with use to support mathematical thinking, problem solving and research.
- LaTeX: Creation of technical and scientific documents.
- AI tools in research: understanding and successfully using AI for research.
- Git and GitHub: Hands-on experience with version control and collaborative coding.
The tutorial is aimed at international Master students of department 12 – Mathematics and Informatics.
When?
The tutorial takes place on 6 consecutive dates and comprises a total of 18 hours. Please find the dates above.
