28.10.2025 New application round: HessenFonds for refugees and researchers at risk

The Hessian Ministry of Science and Research, Arts and Culture awards scholarships for particularly talented and high-performing refugee students, doctoral candidates, academics and persecuted doctoral candidates and academics at Hessian state universities as part of the HessenFonds. The funding is intended to support the continuation of studies or an academic career at a Hessian state university. Students are to be supported primarily in the introductory phase of their studies. 

Applications for funding from April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027 are now open. All relevant information and documents can be found on the website. The application deadline is January 4, 2026.
