Fees
Program Fee
The program fee varies, depending on how many ECTS (European credit points) you want to take home:
If you plan to work towards 12 ECTS: EUR 4,350
If you plan to work towards 18 ECTS: EUR 4,950
With registration we ask for a deposit payment of EUR 500. This is not an extra fee but part of the overall programm fee.
The fee covers tuition and includes the following:
· academic seminars,
· study material,
· accommodation in a single room in one of our student dormitories,
· health and personal liability insurance for the duration of the program,
· meal subsidy (charged on to a mensa debit card),
· monthly ticket for public transportation in Marburg as well as all of Hessen,
· cultural program
Partners of our university: There are special conditions for students from some partner institutions of Marburg University. Please contact your International or Study Abroad Office.

Please make sure that you have enough cash with you to cover the first few days in Marburg, including some money for food and beverages. Foreign currency CANNOT be exchanged at the banks here in Marburg.
Notes on Payment / Cancellation
All payments can only be made by means of bank transfer. Please check with your bank on how to handle this. All payments must be made in Euros (€). We do not accept checks of any kind.
Students are required to assume all fees associated with such a transfer of funds. Any (small) fees remaining on a participant's account as a result of uncovered transaction fees or currency conversion shifts are to be taken care of by means of cash payments on-site after arrival. Larger unpaid amounts would need to be covered via a bank wire.
The balance of your fees must be paid prior to your arrival in Marburg (please see Conditions of Participation for deadlines). Only small remaining fees (up to 50 €) can be paid in cash on arrival day.
If for any reason registered students choose to cancel their program registration, the regulations outlined in the Conditions of Participation apply.
