B.A. Near and Middle Eastern Studies, Specialization in Middle East Economics

The B.A. Near and Middle Eastern Studies / B.A. Near and Middle Eastern Studies International, Specialization in Middle East Economics is a unique interdisciplinary study program that combines a sound education in economics / business administration with the study of politics, society, culture and languages in the region of the Middle East and North Africa. This program enables students to analyze questions of economics and business in a Middle Eastern context.

Students have the opportunity to earn a Bachelor degree majoring in Economics or Business Administration. As a language, students can choose among Arabic, Persian or Turkish. The overall workload of the study program is 180 credits (B.A. Near and Middle Eastern Studies, 3 years) or 240 credits (B.A. Near and Middle Eastern Studies International, 4 years), with 90 credits earned in Economics or Business Administration.

Subsequently, graduates can apply for the Master programs M.A. Middle Eastern Politics and Economics and International M.Sc. Economics of the Middle East (EMEA).
