Initiatives and groups

Over the past year, many initiatives have been created by doctoral students for doctoral students. The focus is on professional exchange as well as on mutual support – or just having fun. Our current initiatives are laid out briefly here, but new ideas are always welcome!

  If you are interested in joining the organizing team or have ideas for further initiatives, please send us an e-mail!

• Inhalt ausklappen Inhalt einklappen Dr. Sport

  Sports activities are more fun together, so we regularly arrange to play sports, mostly via WhatsApp. Currently we have squash, hiking, jogging and climbing groups – and of course pub sports are also represented with a foosball group.

  We meet every first Saturday of the month in the library to read together. 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., naturally with plenty of breaks. 

• Inhalt ausklappen Inhalt einklappen External Writing Week 

  A week in a different environment where we meet to focus together on writing – that is the concept of the External Writing Week. We’re still looking for people who would like to supervise this initiative!

  The goal of this initiative is to create a clear website that bundles all relevant information on the topic of “doing a doctorate at Marburg”. So, it’s not just about this page per se but about the university’s whole doctoral program website.
