⚙️ Creating an APP Token

After you have installed the compatible app (see Step 1: Preparation), there are two different ways to create your app token, depending on your account status.

Rollout with an Active Token (If You Already Use 2FA)

This method applies if you already possess a valid, active token (e.g., YubiKey, another APP token, or a backup TAN token) and wish to add an additional app token.

1. Log into the Portal: Log into the 2FA Portal. You will need your password followed by the code of your active token.
2. Select Token Issuance: Go to the "Tokenausgabe" (Token Issuance) option in the menu.
3. Choose Token Type: Select the token type "App-Token" (App Token).
4. Scan the QR Code: A QR code will appear. Scan this code using the 2FA function of your authentication app (e.g., Uni-App).
5. Verification: The app portal will now require the immediate entry of the new 8-digit code generated by the app. Enter this code to verify.

Your new app token is now active and can be used immediately for logging in.
