No Network, No Career Start? How to Get Hired in the Age of AI

Artificial intelligence is fundamentally changing the recruitment process. Today, professional-looking applications can be created faster and more easily than ever before. As a result, employers are receiving an increasing number of applications, making it far more difficult for individual candidates to stand out.

According to a recent Stepstone study, 80 percent of recruiters now rate incoming applications as only average or poor in quality. For students and graduates, this means one thing: relying on a polished CV and cover letter alone is no longer a viable career strategy.
Without the right contacts, even highly qualified candidates risk being overlooked.

In this workshop, you will learn how to improve your chances of entering the job market by building targeted professional relationships, positioning yourself clearly and becoming visible to the people who can open doors.

You will learn: 

• Why even an excellent application is often no longer enough to secure interviews and career opportunities
• How to develop a clear networking strategy and build your first relevant professional contacts
• How a strong network can give you greater orientation, visibility and direct access to career opportunities
• How to start meaningful conversations with employers, alumni, recruiters and professionals in your field
• Which additional online and offline networking opportunities you can use to expand your professional reach

By the end of the workshop, you will know how to use personal contacts, LinkedIn, XING and other networking opportunities strategically. You will leave with a practical approach for becoming visible more quickly, connecting with relevant employers and significantly improving your chances of securing an internship, a working-student position or your first full-time role.
In today’s job market, networking is not an optional extra. It is a crucial part of getting noticed, gaining access to opportunities and successfully launching your career.
