Participation Before Passing the Zwischenprüfung

You may participate in the Vis Moot before passing the Zwischenprüfung (intermediate exam).

For example, if you participate in the Vis Moot during the third semester: If you have passed all six exams required by the Studienordnung during the first and second semesters and have completed the Hausarbeit (term paper) after the second semester, you may participate in the Übung für Fortgeschrittene im Strafrecht (advanced seminar in criminal law) during the fourth semester and take the exams in civil law III and public law III during the fifth semester. Please familiarize yourself with the Studienordnung, particularly sections 12, 13, 14 and 16, and clarify any open questions with the academic advising office.

If you have not passed all of the required exams or do not wish to write the Hausarbeit immediately after the second semester, we do not recommend that you participate in the Vis Moot before passing the Zwischenprüfung.

Those who participate in the Vis Moot after passing the Zwischenprüfung may continue their studies immediately.
