Additional examination attempt and longer normal program length

Dear students,

In order to make it easier for you to decide whether to sit an examination and to mitigate any adverse effects caused by the pandemic, the Hessian Ministry of Science has passed the following resolutions:

  1. All students who have failed a non-repeatable examination (last exam attempt) in the winter semester 2020/2021 will be granted another attempt at the examination. The same regulation will apply to the coming summer semester 2021 and, upon application by the student, also for past examinations in the summer semester 2020.
  2. Furthermore, an increase in the normal program length will also be granted for the winter semester 2020/2021 - as was already the case for the summer semester 2020. This leads to a further extension of a possible BAföG entitlement.

Should you decide not to sit an examination, please withdraw your registration via the QIS-portal as soon as possible.

Best regards,
Prof. Dr. Torsten Wulf, Prof. Dr. Oscar Stolper, Dr. Regine Reck und Kai Brenneke
