Research@MACIES: Insights, Impact, Inheritance.

Scientific research and its societal relevance are often difficult to access. The historical foundations of current research also risk being overlooked. Research@MACIES aims to communicate current academic insights in an accessible way, to make their normative and historical roots visible, and to strengthen the dialogue between academia and the public.

In a three-part symposium, insights into current research will be combined with reflections on their societal impact and scientific legacy. In this way, the impulses originating from the Marburg Center for Institutional Economics will become visible and be placed within a broader context. The role of institutional economics as a sustainable analytical and normative framework for addressing societal challenges will be highlighted.
