Dopaminergic Blockade on Human Behaviour
Project information
Our research aims to identify whether partial blockade of human dopamine signaling with antipsychotic drugs affects human stress responses, motivation and emotion. The study is a double blind, placebo controlled, randomized trial with two groups of healthy participants. 300 mg of amisulpride as the antipsychotic agent is used. The studies aim at finding possible influences of partial DA blockade in:
- the psycho-physiological stress response
- motivated behavior in effort paradigms (Reddy et al., 2015)
- emotional responses to international affective picture system (IAPS) stimuli.
Current project status
Ongoing until May 2020
