Acceptance as a Doctoral Candidate

After your registration on MARVIN, you have to submit a written application to the dean´s office containing the following documents:

• Application as a doctoral candidate
• prove of a university degree (Certificate and Certificate of Examination Results of your Bachelor´s and Master´s degree or a certificate of the L3 study program; the original documents should be submitted)
• A general higher education entrance qualification (usually the certificate of your final secondary-school examinations); original documents
• Curriculum Vitae (CV)
• Project outline
• Doctoral Supervision Agreement (adapt the placeholders in the document)
• Attachment of your application to be accepted as a doctoral candidate

Please make an appointment with the deanery to submit your documents!

After reviewing your documents, the dean´s office will send you a written notification of your acceptance. After being accepted as a doctoral candidate, you can be approved for the examination procedure.

You don´t necessarily need to be registered as a doctoral student at the Philipps-University.
